In a significant move towards empowering students across Andhra Pradesh, the ‘Vidya Shakti’ initiative has been launched to support those who may need a little extra help in catching up with their academics. Led by the Director of School Education, V. Vijay Rama Raju, this innovative program aims to transform the educational landscape by providing tailored support to students in government schools and colleges.
Addressing a gathering in Vijayawada, Mr. Rama Raju emphasized the pivotal role teachers play in shaping the future of our youth. He stressed the importance of treating every student as their own and ensuring quality education for all. The ‘Vidya Shakti’ initiative, a five-day training program for teachers from various educational institutions, is set to be rolled out in a phased manner across the state.
What sets ‘Vidya Shakti’ apart is its focus on online remedial teaching, utilizing technology and innovative methods to offer additional coaching in key subjects like mathematics, science, and English to students outside regular school hours. This initiative is currently being implemented in over 4,000 schools, including Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas, Andhra Pradesh Residential Schools, and Andhra Pradesh Model Schools.
The primary objectives of ‘Vidya Shakti’ are clear – to enhance learning outcomes, reduce dropout rates, and increase the Gross Enrolment Ratio in educational institutions throughout Andhra Pradesh. Starting this academic year, subject-wise time slots will be scheduled to ensure every student adheres to a structured timetable. Additionally, bright students will receive extra support to excel in their Class 10 Board examinations.
At the heart of this initiative is the vision to nurture every student’s potential and provide them with the tools they need to succeed. With a strong focus on personalized support and academic growth, ‘Vidya Shakti’ aims to create a more inclusive and empowering educational environment for students across the state.
The event, attended by key dignitaries including Secretary V.N. Mastanayya and Director K.V. Srinivasulu Reddy, marks a significant step towards reshaping the educational landscape in Andhra Pradesh. By prioritizing student welfare and academic excellence, ‘Vidya Shakti’ stands as a beacon of hope for students, parents, and educators alike.
As we embrace this transformative initiative, let us rally behind our students, providing them with the support and encouragement they need to thrive in a competitive academic environment. Together, we can pave the way for a brighter future filled with endless possibilities and opportunities for all aspiring learners in our vibrant nation.
