According to reports, the National Education Society for Tribal Students (NESTS) has partnered with UNICEF to introduce a career counseling program for 1.38 lakh tribal students. The initiative, named TALASH, aims to provide psychometric assessments, career guidance, and life skills training to students in Eklavya Model Residential Schools.
Key highlights:
• TALASH offers psychometric assessments and life skills training to tribal students.
• A common aptitude test will be provided to students across Eklavya schools.
• Over 180 teachers have been trained, with full implementation expected soon.
The development underscores efforts to enhance career opportunities and skills development for tribal students in India.
